Skylar Laine Eliminated from the American Idol Season 11

Skylar Laine
After narrowly missing it last week, Skylar Laine is eliminated from American Idol season 11. It was a tough call for her and her fellow contestant Hollie Cavanagh, who also belonged to the bottom two this week. Lucky for Hollie and her good looks she was saved eventually. Now its an even fight between girls and boys as two remains from each gender.

Four contestants remain and has the chance to battle it off in the finals. The remaining contestants are as follows: Phillip Phillips, Joshua Ledet, Hollie Cavanagh and, of course, my ultimate favorite, Jessica Sanchez. Before the elimination, each contestant performed Songs from the 1960s and from a British Pop singer. Skylar performed Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival for her solo 1960s song, (Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher by Jackie Wilson for a 1960s group performance and You Don't Have to Say You Love Me by Dusty Springfield for British Pop.

You could check her performances here:

Songs from the 1960s (solo) - Fortunate Son

Songs from the 1960s (trio) - (Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher

British Pop - You Don't Have to Say You Love Me

Now, I guess it's about time Skylar goes home cause many of her critics really lambasted how she sings country. I guess Skylar Laine's elimination just gives the remaining four, who are more deserving by the way, greater chances to finally achieve the title of this year's American Idol. I just hope it would be Jessica Sanchez. So keep voting on for Jessica, everyone. Let's make her dreams a reality.

4 Finalists Advance for Grand Finals in The Voice Season 2

The Voice
After just a few days of taking leave I already missed a week of my life after the four finalists for The Voice season 2 has already been revealed. Thanks to the collaboration of the Judges and the viewers, after summing up there scores and votes, only four remain to compete in the Grand Finals of the show.

Now each coach has only one vocalist to represent them. I was only stumped when two Judges played safe -- sorry Christina and Blake -- and as always only Adam and Cee Lo made a stand for whoever they think will bring victory to their teams. There were a torn feel to the show as some are happy their favorites advanced to the show while the four others went home with tears on their eyes.

Get to know the 4 finalists for The Voice Season 2:

Team Christina: Chris Mann

I always hate it when Christina plays safe for her team members. At this instance, where is the gut feeling and urge of the heart that she always talks about. Although when she gave both Chris and Lindsey an even score of 50/50 I was little sympathetic of her goals that she needs America to decide for her team. This is of course a nice strategy because she should have chosen wrongly and the public chose for the other she would have regretted it.

I admit I was egging more for Lindsey, but even her votes cannot save her as Chris still gets majority of the public votes. Chris man got 54 of the overall votes for Team Christina and Lindsey obviously got the remaining 46 percent. A four-percent lead is all it takes to send Lindsey away. I even got a feeling that Lindsey was kind of dismayed after subtlety walking out the stage, leaving Christina looking for her.

Team Adam: Tony Lucca

Adam almost always makes me wanna rejoice. I rejoiced that he made a stand on whom to choice for his team that will represent in the finals. But I wasn't really happy when he chose Tony Lucca. Giving a 60/40 score in favor of Tony, Katrina already had 20 points to beat. That's a very long way to achieve if we are to put poll results into the equation.

Tony had had his fill during his Mickey Mouse club days but haven't really got a break the way his co-stars had. But I guess his voice is very common that their is no really character to it. But that's the beauty in it since the public likes pop and pop is common. Unlike Katrina unique tone and sometime raspy voice, only a few would go for it since it is an acquired taste.

Team Blake: Jermaine Paul

Now another play safe Judge is Blake. Blake who was given a chance to choose between Erin and Jermaine, but opted to let the public do the choosing. But no matter how hard Blake ran away from the responsibility Erin is still a miles away from Jermaine. An overall total of 123 points for Jermaine over Erin's 77 is a sure sign that America really loved the former than the latter.

Jermaine Paul is surely one of the best contenders of this season, but I am not really sure if he could follow on Javier Colon's lead. He may have beaten Erin, but he will have a hard time fending off other finalists. If he wants to win, he will have to exert double effort and get out of his comfort zone. This time the public does not want a repeat of the previous year's contest and would want something fresh, something new.

Team Cee Lo: Juliet Simms

Among all four Judges, laid-back Cee Lo I guess has the greatest attachments to his team members. He has taken care of his vocalist very well and they have excelled to their maximum potential you would think they are already really stars. But Cee Lo is never playing safe since he favored Juliet by giving her 60 points over Jamar's 40. From the looks of it Jamar was a little disappointed, but who would not be?

Juliet is my favorite also among Cee Lo's team and this just makes me happy seeing that she has a very considerable lead against Jamar. Both of them are on the same genre and only one must go on to the finals. Will a rock star win this year's the Voice or would the public still go for the pop?

Will they match their predecessors or will they surpass their achievements. This season gives us a variety of artists, each different from each other. Just like what Christina said it will be like comparing apples with oranges.

So to sum up the four finalists for The Voice season 2 that will face off in the final round are Chris Mann for team Christina, Tony Lucca for Team Adam. Jermaine Paul for team Blake and Juliet Simms for Team Cee Lo. Who do you support? Do you think he or she really got what it takes to be called The Voice?

Complete Performances of the 2012 American Idol Top 6 Finalists

American Idol
While most of us are already celebrating the triumph of the top 5 of American Idol for season 11, some parts of the world are not even in the know yet that Elise Testone was already eliminated from the show. After their renditions of a Queen song and a song of personal choice, America has decided that Elise has to go, and the other two who belonged to the bottom three were Skylar Laine and Hollie Cavanagh.

The world's maybe mourning for Elise Testone's elimination, but that does not stop other fans from celebrating because their favorites are safe. I for one was happy that Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips are safe and can proceed to the next round. But for those who haven't seen the performances of the contestants last April 26, 2012, I made a compilation just for you.

Here are the performances of American Idol's top 6 finalists:

Jessica Sanchez

Jessica Sanchez ~ Bohemian Rhapsody Performance (Queen)

Jessica Sanchez ~ Dance with My Father Performance (Luther Vandross)

Skylar Laine

Skylar Laine ~ The Show Must Go On Performance (Queen)

Skylar Laine ~ Tattoos on This Town Performance (Jason Aldean)

Joshua Ledet

Joshua Ledet ~ Crazy Little Thing Called Love Performance (Queen)

Joshua Ledet ~ Ready for Love Performance (India.Arie)

Elise Testone

Elise Testone ~ I Want It All Performance (Queen)

Elise Testone ~ Bold as Love Performance (The Jimi Hendrix Experience)

Phillip Phillips

Phillip Phillips ~ Fat Bottomed Girls Performance (Queen)

Phillip Phillips ~ The Stone Performance (Dave Matthews Band)

Hollie Cavanagh

Hollie Cavanagh ~ Save Me Performance (Queen)

Hollie Cavanagh ~ The Climb Performance (Miley Cyrus)

The contestants have surely made an impression on their rendition of a Queen song, but when time came for the performance on the song they themselves chose some of them faltered. Whatevers going to happen next, let's just hope that their performances really justified's America's vote for them.

American Idol: Top 5 Revealed After Elise Testone Is Eliminated

Elise Testone Eliminated
The list of contestants that made it to the top five of the eleventh season of American Idol was finally revealed. After gaining the lowest votes this week, Elise Testone was sent home and ending her tenure on the show. This week, the contestants performed a song by the Queen and another song of their personal choice, but America has decided that Elise Testone's performances of I Want It All and Bold as Love are not enough to lock her a spot on the top five.

Only two gentlemen remain among the five contestants and the three ladies are surely on the move to gain a spot to the finals. My personal favorite, Jessica Sanchez, slammed the stage with Bohemian Rhapsody, followed by Skylar Laine's performance of The Show Must Go On. Joshua Ledet's Crazy Little Thing Called Love gained him favor from the audience and the judges, followed Elise Testone, who easily knocked out I Want It All. Amazing performances followed also from Phillip Phillips and Hollie Cavanagh as they performed Fat Bottomed Girls and Save Me, respectively. Check out their performances if you haven't seen them yet.

Here are the official top five contestants of this year's American Idol:

Jessica Sanchez

One of the younger contestants, Jessica is ready to continue her dream to fame. Lucky she didn't win on America's Got Talent because her fate would have been different. This is a perfect avenue for her should she win the contest. This Filipino-Mexican power vocalist is surely one of my favorite.

Skylar Laine

Skylar Laine is not really my personal favorite, but she really knows how to showcase her country style music. She has always been consistent on the show and was placed only on the bottom three once (make it twice this week). I believe she also deserves to take a spot on the top five finalists.

Joshua Ledet

This guy is another powerful performer who gained the love of the judges upon performing Runaway Baby on one of the previous episodes. Although that love was not enough to save him from belonging to the bottom three from the weeks performances. Fortunately for him he was saved and able to survive the show until now. He once again received a standing ovation from the Judges, which I might add always happen to him.

Phillip Phillips

I confessed earlier that Phillip Phillips is also one of my favorite, together with Jessica. This rock star as I also said before is the only remaining contestant who didn't belong to the bottom three even once. He has escaped the grilling through his powerful performances that earned him a lot of cheers from the ladies. Although I have to say, this week his performance was a little choppy, but still a lot better that Elise's.

Hollie Cavanagh

This lovely piece of specimen has definitely made her way through the contest with the support of the male fandom. Although I think Hollie is quite playing safe that is why there is really no remarkable performance that I could remember from her. I can't remember any instant that she would belong to the extremes, because if she did I would certainly know.

The contestants' personal choices of songs for their second performance were surely the meter for this week's show by showcasing their capabilities through the song that they think will bring them more votes from the public. Jessica Sanchez performed one of my all-time favorite song by Luther Vandross, Dance With My Father. Joshua Ledet's rendition of Ready For Love and Skylar Laine's Tattoos on This Town followed her performance. Once again Elise Testone set the crowd on a blaze with Bold as Love, followed by Phillip Phillips' The Stone and Hollie Cavanagh's The Climb.

After their performances and when the results came in, the bottom three are as follows: Skylar Laine, Elise Testone and Hollie Cavanagh. Ryan Seacrest later on revealed that Elise Testone is hereby eliminated. Do you think Elise's elimination from American Idol is acceptable? Who will make it to the top four, and who will eventually be named as this year's American Idol?

Mathai and Cheesa Voted Off From Team Adam and Team Cee Lo

The Voice
It seems that the male contestants are almost always lucky in The Voice. last week two gents from Team Blake and Team Christina were saved by the public. This time America has saved yet two other male contestants for Team Adam and Team Cee Lo. Both Jamar Rogers who performed It's My Life and Tony Lucca singing ...Baby One More Time got sure spots for the semi-finals for Team Cee lo and Team Adam, respectively.

Unfortunately, for the four remaining ladies they still have to perform in their last chance performances to convince each of their Judges to pick them for the save. Will it be Katrina Parker or Mathai for Team Adam? And who will Cee Lo choose between Cheesa and Juliet Simms? Two will only remain for each team and their coaches will have to decide who is deserving to move on to the semi-finals.

Check out the battle rounds for their last chance performance:

Team Adam: Katrina Parker vs. Mathai

Katrina Parker vs Mathai
Adam was really in for a hard call after choosing between the two ladies, who in the course of time gathered their own following. It looks to me that this round is a battle for age and experience. Katrina has this advantage over Mathai and that is maybe why Adam chose the former. Adam is really pressured here for sure, because he has to maintain his last year's winning or he'll have to suffer the revenge of defeat this year. That is why I really believe that he did the right thing choosing Katrina Parker to be part of his team.

Katrina Parker ~ Perfect

Aside from looking glamorous in black, Katrina Parker has finnaly hit the mark with her performance of Perfect. That is no wonder why Adam Levine picked her over Mathai, who performed her good but somehow sloppy version of Cowboy Casanova. I liked Mathai as well, but her recent performance is less than perfect as Katrina's song lyrics goes. I was very happy with Adam's decision and that's maybe the best move he could make for his team.

Mathai ~ Cowboy Casanova

No offense to Mathai, but her elimination is rather good for her in order to continue her parents' dream of her becoming a doctor. Now that she has a shot of fame it would be favorable for her to study first and finish her college. She shouldn't waste time until such time that she is ready she could come back again to being a singer. I only wish the best for her.

Adam's Choice, Katrina Parker
Mathai Eliminated

Winner: Kathrina Parker
Eliminated: Mathai

Team Cee Lo: Juliet Simms vs. Cheesa

Juliet Simms vs Cheesa
It's not because Juliet Simms looked gorgeous why Cee Lo chose her but for that fact that she is one of the best performers of the night. She has definitely improved from week to week and today is not an exemption. Although I was a little sad of Cheesa Laureta's (or Cheesa for short) elimination. She is after all a Filipino who was once raised in the lovely City of Cebu, where I will be going next week.

Juliet Simms ~ Torn

Cee Lo has chosen rightly, bias aside, cause Juliet Simms could be perfect. She has the talent and the looks: the perfect package of becoming a star. Her performance of the song Torn has definitely overshadowed Cheesa's Already Gone. I cannot help but think that Cheesa's song choice is maybe a premonition of her fate in the show, which is really sad by the way.

Cheesa ~ Already Gone

In the previous weeks we see Cee Lo as being laid back and didn't even care with Christina's and Adam's brawls. I used to think he has chosen his team members because sometimes he has no choice to do otherwise or sometimes because of his co-coaches pressure. But now that we have seen who comprise his team, I do believe that Cee Lo really has the ear and the eye for spotting real talent.

I am now smiling whenever Cee Lo proves me, or the other coaches for that matter, that his team still has what it takes to become part of The Voice. They have waded their way through and proved that they really have the talent and the appeal to survive in the competition.

Cee Lo's Choice, Juliet Simms
Cheesa Eliminated

Winner: Juliet Simms
Eliminated: Cheesa

*-*

Semi-Finals is almost on its way and we have now the complete list of vocalists who qualified for the round. Who among the team members of Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Cee Lo Green will make it to the finals and finally have to chance to be called The Voice.

The Voice: Pip and James Massone Instantly Eliminated by Adam and Cee Lo

The Voice
Updated: Added Adam's and Cee Lo's instant elimination choice.

Last week, we watched as Team Christina and Team Blake were put under the grilling machine. Now it's Team Adam's and Team Cee Lo's turn to face the heat as the two respectable Judges will eliminate one member from each of their teams. But before the contestants faced their doom, Cee Lo himself performed live his latest single Fight to Win. We also got the ethereal performance of Florence + the Machines for No Light No Light together with Cee Lo's team members.

After seeing the performances of the last remaining members of Team Adam -- Katrina Parker performed Jar of Hearts, Mathai crooned us with I'm Like A Bird, Tony Lucca performed Baby One More Time, Pip performed one of my favorite songs, Somewhere Only We Know -- Adam has finally come to a decision to eliminate Pip. Same is true with Team Cee Lo, when James Massone is eliminated after performing Just The Way You Are, saving Cheesa, Juliet Simms and Jamar Rogers, who performed I Have Nothing, Cryin' and It's My Life, respectively.

Pip

Pip ~ Somewhere Only We Know (Team Adam)

If I have to mention a name of contestant that is trapped in a period of time other than now, it would be Pip. His signature bow tie and jumpers have certainly caught the attention of many (which he unfortunately ditched during his performance), but Adam doesn't think it's enough in order for him to be included in his team. His Somewhere Only We Know is good, but not that really remarkable and perfect compared with the performances of his fellow contestants. Pip's elimination is not really a surprise for me, but it's just sad since he is among the highest public vote getters last week.

Adam Instantly Eliminated Pip

After winning in the last season of The Voice, Adam is surely under pressure to maintain this position. He is definitely forced to eliminate one of his best performers. This is a sad news for Pip's fans, but I am sure he can find his own way in the music industry. Pip is still young and has a bright future still ahead of him. How I wish this disappointment of being eliminated from the show will not cause him to stop in reaching his dreams.

James Massone

James Massone ~ Just The Way You Are (Team Cee Lo)

James Massone is another chick magnet because of his suave moves and unique voice. But this time his crooning voice is not enough to save him from the show since Cee Lo himself eliminated him instantly. I don't this has something to do with James being the least performer in Green's team, but I am thinking that he maybe eliminated James since he can easily gain stardom at this stage of the competition. He is most definitely a favorite among female viewers as evidenced of tonight's and last weeks studio audience reactions.

Cee Lo Instantly Eliminated James Massone

This is definitely a good step for Cee Lo to take since he retained all powerhouse performers that surely make a bang on the stage. Cee Lo is going for a rock label with his remaining team members and their is no wonder his saved Cheesa, Juliet Simms and Jamar Rogers. But if I were to choose among these remaining three, I would certainly choose Juliet Simms. Let's just hope she will be saved from tomorrow's elimination through public votes.

Check out the follow-up for this episode's elimination process tomorrow, as two more contestants from Team Adam and Team Cee Lo will be once again eliminated, but this time it will be based upon the result of tonight's public poll and votes. Who do you think will remain and who will be fated to go home?

Phillip Phillips' Performances on American Idol 2012

Phillip Phillips
Updated: (1) Added The Letter, You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' and Time of the Season. (2) Added Phillip Phillips' Fat Bottomed Girls and The Stone performances.

If you have watched every performances and elimination rounds, then you might have noticed that only one of the remaining Top 6 finalists of The American Idol Season 11 has the opportunity not to belong in the bottom three. All of the other contestants have gone through the shameful experience of belonging to the bottom three. All except Phillip Phillips.

At 21 years old, Phillip has been swooning the ladies around the world, which is most definitely every guy's dream. He started out as a simple worker at his father's pawnshop and eventually, through the course of the competition, evolved to a big hit rock star. Together with Jessica Sanchez, he is a favorite of Lee DeWyze, the winner of the ninth season of American Idol.

So far here are the performances by the chick-magnet rock star, Phillip Phillips:

Auditions - Superstition

First Solo - Papa's Got A Brand New Bag

Songs from the 1950s Group Performance - I Only Have Eyes for You

Final Solo - Nice & Slow

Personal Choice - In the Air Tonight

Stevie Wonder - Superstition

Year They Were Born - Hard to Handle

Billy Joel - Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)

Their Personal Idols (Solo) - Still Rainin'

Their Personal Idols (Trio) - Landslide / Edge of Seventeen / Don't Stop

Songs from the 1980s (Solo) - That's All

Songs from the 1980s (Duet) - Stop Draggin' My Heart Around

Songs from the 2010s (Solo) - Give a Little More

Songs from the 2010s (Duet) - Somebody That I Used to Know

Songs from Now & Then (Now) - U Got It Bad

Songs from Now & Then (Then) - In the Midnight Hour

Queen - Fat Bottomed Girls

Contestant's Choice - The Stone

Songs from the 1960s (solo) - The Letter

Songs from the 1960s (duet) - You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'

British Pop - Time of the Season

I am not really fond of rock songs, but If I were to choose a rock song performer among the American Idol contestants I would certainly pick him. Phillip Phillips' American Idol performances have proven that he is versatile. Although I am not sure if he has just been playing safe that is why he haven't been to the bottom three yet, but that feat is already commendable at this stage of the competition.

Colton Dixon Voted Out From American Idol Season Eleven

Colton Dixon
Last week's grilling elimination lead to a stand still or a stale mate after the Judges used the Save for Jessica Sanchez when she gained the lowest votes of America. Because of this, two American Idol contestants will be eliminated this week based on popular votes and Judges' decision as well. Or is it only one?

The scene was heating up when the bottom 3 of this week's performance were announced in a very loud and riotous manner. The Songs from Now & Then week metored by Jimmy Iovine revealed that Elise Testone, Hollie Cavanagh and Colton Dixon belong to the bottom three. Two of them will be sent home. But for now, after gaining the lowest votes, Colton Dixon is eliminated and sure to go home with another one to follow based on the Judge's decision. Or maybe we can expect a twist from the Judges to retain the Top 6 in the competition? It is yet to be found out.

Check out the bottom three's performance this week:

Elise Testone ~ Songs from Now & Then (Bottom 3)

Elise Testone ~ No One (Now)

Elise Testone - Let's Get It On (Then)

Hollie Cavanagh ~ Songs from Now & Then (Bottom 2)

Hollie Cavanagh ~ Rolling In The Deep (Now)

Hollie Cavanagh ~ Son Of A Preacher Man (Then)

Colton Dixon ~ Songs from Now & Then (Eliminated)

Colton Dixon ~ Bad Romance (Now)

Colton Dixon ~ September (Then)

Colton Dixon's elimination was sad for all his fans, but we are hoping to get the best singer in this competition. This 20-year old rockeeter is favorite among many, but his performance this week was deemed not really as good as his counterparts. Once, he was the top five male vote getter, but this week America decided that he is not really there yet. He is still young and he has still a long way to go.

Do you think that America voted wisely resulting Colton Dixon's elimination?

Ashley De La Rosa and RaeLynn Eliminated From The Voice

The Voice
Updated: Added videos of the last chance performers and the judges' pick.

As a follow-up to last night's shocking elimination, tonight's episode of The Voice reveals to us the two other eliminated vocalists from Team Christina and Team Blake. This time around it was the public votes that influenced the results of who are going to stay and who aren't.

Having gained the highest votes from the public, Jermaine Paul, who performed Against All Odds last night, and Chris Mann, who serenaded us with Viva la Vida, gained a sure spot for Team Blake and Team Christina, respectively. This is certainly a dominion of male power, if I might add.

As part of the twist of the show, the bottom two of each team must convince the judges with their last chance performance. Who will be saved between Lindsey Pavao and Ashley De La Rosa to remain in Christina Aguilera's team? Performing Please Don't Go, Lindsey will have to contend with Ashley De La Rosa's rendition of You and I. Same fate is in store for Team Blake's Erin Willett and RaeLynn. Will RaeLynn be saved with her If I Die Young rendetion or will she be outmatched by Erin's Proud Mary performace.

Team Christina: Lindsey Pavao vs. Ashley De La Rosa

Lindsey Pavao vs. Ashley De La Rosa
After much thinking and consideration, Christina chose Lindsey Pavao and eliminated Ashley De La Rosa along the process. Many of my friends are going for Lindsey because of her overall package and singing capabilities. If it comes to looks I would rather choose Lindsey as well, no offense to Ashley, who had her fair share of appeal as well.

Lindsey Pavao ~ Please Don't Go

But when it comes to the technicality of singing, Lindsey has an advantage because of her powerfully strange and unique voice. We cannot deny that Ashley has improved a lot in her singing prowess during the entire course of the season, but that does not eliminate the fact that it is not enough to save her.

Ashley De La Rosa ~ You and I
(Notice Ashley De La Rosa in leather jacket)

I bet if the results for public votes are to be revealed, Lindsey would have toppled Ashley by much. This is all speculation from my side, of course. No matter, what really counts is Christina Aguilera saved Ashley Pavao from elimination, counting the votes or not.

According to Christina, she chose Lindsey because she always have to go with what's inside her heart. She also said that Lindsey's performance made her cry and she feels she do have a special connection with Lindsey's voice. "It was very vulnerable," she added, "and I think it could be very powerful." Although she was very emotional when she made the choice, she also commends Ashley for being "a dynamo on stage."

Christina's Choice, Lindsey Pavao
Ashley De La Rosa Eliminated

Winner: Lindsey Pavao
Eliminated: Ashley De La Rosa

Team Blake: Erin Willett vs. RaeLynn

Erin Willet vs. RaeLynn
After playing safe with his decision on last night's elimination, Blake will have to face a reality of eliminating a vocalist from his team on his own doing. His team is composed of artists with varying styles and prowess that I guess it will hard for him also to choose the one he wants to save.

Erin Willett ~ Proud Mary

If I were to choose talent-wise between Erin and RaeLynn, it would be Erin herself. She has more experience and more powerful singing voice that it just easily clouds Raelynn's nitty gritty, though unique, performance. I commend Blake for choosing talent over over-all package and this might be a helping factor for him to win the competition. Although, I was also a little sad when Blake Shelton eliminated RaeLynn from the show, because we might not see any sassy or chicky performance from here on.

RaeLynn ~ If I Die Young

But to reiterate Blake's reasons, he said that Raelynn's performance has something different, but when Erin entered the stage she most definitely outmatched RaeLynn. It was also a hard decision for Blake that he almost wasn't able to say the name immediately before the show ended.

But I guess Blake's decision is really a reflection of the shows goal: voice over looks. If it were otherwise then I might have doubted the show's claim that what they value the most is The Voice, hence the title.

Blake's Choice, Erin Willett
RaeLynn Eliminated

Winner: Erin Willet
Eliminated: RaeLynn

*-*

Now let's see what happens next week for Team Adam and Team Cee Lo. Will they still be comfortable when they will have to face the grilling pressure that the two previous judges has gone two. I bet that will remove the smiles on Adam and Cee Lo faces. Bring it on!

Jesse Campbell & Jordis Unga Eliminated From The Voice

The Voice
Updated: Added the video's of the coach's comment and instant elimination.

Only a few episodes away from the grand finals and two talented singers were once again eliminated from The Voice: Jesse Campbell and Jordis Unga. They belonged to Team Christina and Team Blake respectively. This time around, it was not the votes of the public that eliminated them, but their coaches themselves.

This is where judges already cringe because of the tough decision they have to make since the Grand Finals is fast approaching. Lucky for Adam Levine who had the taste of glory last year, Christina and Blake are surely in for the pressure to outmatch the other Judges by choosing the best for their team.

Check out Jesse Campbell's and Jordis Unga's performances to see if their coaches have chosen wisely to eliminate them out of their team.

Jesse Campbell ~ Halo

Personally, I like Jesse Campbell from team Christina, but he so reminds us of the season one winner, Javier Colon, that is maybe why Christina Aguilera chose to eliminate him out of her four remaining team members. Jesse Campbell's What a Wonderful World performance last week almost sold me immediately. It even earned him praises from other judges, where Adam Levine was very vocal and awed by how good he was.

Most people think that Christina made a bad choice of voting out Jesse. He was one of the most talented and versatile singers from her team. That is why many were wondering if this is because he is already old enough past his prime and many even claimed it's because he is black (that's just so racist). I am not really sure what's going on inside Christina's head when she made the choice, but I could only say this: How can you fill a cup that is already full?

Check out Jesse Campbell's instant elimination:

Instant Elimination of Jesse Campbell by Christina Aguilera

Whatever is in Christina's mind by that time I am sure she only had the best interest for her team. And that doesn't have to mean that it's not gonna hurt. So far the top three artists that belong to Team Christina and who will have the chance to compete in the upcoming Semi-Finals should they not be eliminated by the votes are Ashley De La Rosa, Lindsey Pavao and Chris Mann.

Jordis Unga ~ A Little Bit Stronger

I don't wanna sound bad, but I was not surprised that Jordis Unga was eliminated from Team Blake by Blake himself. Jordis already had a taste of almost defeat after belonging to the lowest three based on public votes. Lucky for her Blake chose her over Naia Kete and Charlotte Sometimes after she performed Wild Horses on their last chance performance.

We know that Jordis is also one of the best power house singers in the contest, but Team Blake is composed of varying and unique voices from every range and genre that Blake Shelton just chose the best out of his four remaining artists. I am sure that he was using as a guide the vote results of the last week together with this week's performances for his choice. I believe he did the right thing, the very opposite of what Christina Aguilera did.

Check out Jordis Unga's instant elimination:

Instant Elimination of Jordis Unga by Blake Shelton

As of the moment Team Blake is composed of RaeLynn, Erin Willett and Jermaine Paul. Who knows who will be eliminated in this weeks poll elimination?

Check out next week the Quarter Final performances for Team Cee Lo and Team Adam. Who do you think will be voted off?

American Idol Judges Save Jessica Sanchez from Elimination

American Idol
Bless you American Idol Judges - Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson - for using the one-time save on Mexican Filipina Jessica Sanchez. America was in for a shocking treat when Sanchez belonged to the bottom three and was eventually revealed to be the one to go home. I was very happy that the judges were very adamant on saving her.

I was only a little surprised when people think the whole show was scripted owing to the fact that Jessica doesn't seem have any emotional reaction about her possibility of leaving the show after ranking lowest on the nationwide votes for the Top 7 performers.

Watch the video of how the elimination night turned out last Thursday:

This was a real shock for me since the previous weeks gave us a high poll result for Jessica reaching almost 30% of the overall votes. Even the studio audience booed on the result of the night's elimination. Once again, I am really thanking the Judges for saving this gem. I could almost give Randy Jackson a hug for saying that they "are saving Jessica without any doubt. Let me just say this for my self, Steven and Jennifer -- this girl is one of the best singers in America ever."

The Save is a one-time opportunity every season that the Judges could save an eliminated performer from going home. The decision must be unanimous and could only be given prior to the Top 5 performances. The moment this is used no one will be eliminated, but unfortunately on the following week of performance two contestants will have to go to cover up for the save and not to hamper the schedule. As said, this could only happen once every season and I am very happy they used it on Jessica.

The good side about this shocker is Jessica had some extended exposure on the show, with indirect praises and support from the Judges. This could very well mean like a product placement. One thing is for sure, though, this event that scared the wits out of every Jessica Sanchez fans will definitely move them to vote for more. Regardless of race, please vote for Jessica if you deem her the rightful winner of this contest.

I just can't believe that voters are ready to forgo a real talent like what we have seen from Jessica.
