Upcoming Books from Favorite Author James Patterson

James Patterson
The moment I saw Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment propped on the shelf of one of the leading bookstores in the area I immediately got the feeling that this must belong to my collection. And after reading it only on one sitting -- reclining on the bed, actually -- I had the utmost desire to complete not only the Maximum Ride series but all serial books by James Patterson.

After I bought and read all available books from this series, I dug-in his other books since I really can't get enough of his writings: Women Murder Club, Alex Cross, Michael Bennett and many more. His works are really flying off the pages and what's good about his books are the short but filling chapters. This fanaticism has not ended on me alone. Since I have brought his books into my workplace many avid readers has also been hooked by his tensely enjoyable novel.

And now that I, along with my colleagues, have read all available that I have I was once again on the look out for his latest novels. And I have found a few:

11th Hour ~ May 7, 2012

Since the books of teh Women Murder Club are titled according to its number in the series, 11th Hour is obviously the eleventh book in the series. This is another collaborative work together with author Maxine Paetro and will once again come back to the story of four ladies, each a veteran and expert in their own fields. To spoil everything up, Lindsay Boxer will be pregnant! After their marriage in 10th Anniversary, Lindsay and Joe Molinari, is going to have a baby. How is this going to affect with her invovlement to the Women Murder Club or her job in the police department? Will she be able to handle all these juggling or not?

Middle School: Get Me out of Here! ~ May 7, 2012

A follow-up to James patetrson's attempt on cartoon and literature Middle School, The Worst Years of My Life, Middle School: Get Me out of Here tells of Rafe Khatchadorian troubles in the seventh grade. He's been accepted to art school in the big city and imagines a math-and-history-free fun zone. Wrong! It's more competitive than Rafe ever expected, and to score big in class, he needs to find a way to turn his boring life into the inspiration for a work of art. His method? Operation: Get a Life! Anything he's never done before, he's going to do it, from learning to play poker to going to a modern art museum. But when his newest mission uncovers secrets about the family Rafe's never known, he has to decide if he's ready to have his world turned upside down.

I, Michael Bennett ~ June 9, 2012

Michael Bennett and his ten adopted children are back in thif fith installment of the series. He is yet again to find balance between murder investigations and taking care of his huge family. And in order to ease the stress, he and his family, together with the lovely nanny Mary Catherine, embark on a vacation to the upstate New York. But instead of escaping the violence, it follows them and they find themselves in the middle of another nightmare that threatens the entire family. The danger isn't only coming from the crime lord's killers—FBI Agent Emily Parker is back, and Bennett's attraction to her endangers his relationship with Mary Catherine. A no-holds-barred, pedal-to-the-floor, action-packed novel, I, MICHAEL BENNETT is James Patterson at his most thrilling best.

Maximum Ride: Nevermore ~ August 6, 2012

This is the eighth and last book of the sci-fi series that started my James Patterson ride. Hopefully this is not the last James Patterson book that I will buy. Read on for it's synopsis: One last chance... for Max, Fang, and Dylan... before it all ends. Are you ready for the final chapter? Are you ready for the ultimate flight? Because THIS IS IT. One last incredible, explosive adventure with an astonishing ending that no one could have seen coming.

I really do hope that all these books will be released as soon as possible. My hands are itching to buy them and my eyes are already watering because of the long wait. Can the coming months come any closer and faster? I guess not. Maybe I will resort to depressing my self again before the books finally grace my book shelf at home.

Cassandra Clare To Release City of Lost Souls (Mortal Instruments)

Cassandra Clare
After buying Cassandra Clare's City of Bones and City of Ashes ages ago I was immediately hooked with its dark premise and quite scary tone. From then on I always put it to my reminders to watch out for her new books, especially with her Mortal Instruments series, where the two aforementioned books belong. This series is a reminiscent of The Twilight Saga, but focuses more on the dark and fantastic paranormal.

Just recently, I was surprised to know that I am already two books behind this series. I wasn't able to buy and read the fourth book City of Fallen Angels, which was just released last year. And now I was yet again surprised that another book would come out this coming May. I am very occupied with too many novel series that I can't keep up with the latest updates. Luckily, I was able to visit Amazon and was surprised that she is going to publish City of Lost Souls, the penultimate book in the series and to be concluded in City of Heavenly Fire.

Check out the book's cover art, that follows the same concept of the first four books:

City of Lost Souls will focus this time on Jace, who will be freed from the captivity of a sly demon called Lilith. But this freedom will have a great price as he will be changed for the worse by the demon's dark magic and he will be bound against his free will to the evil Sebastian. Only the Clave can save him from this bond and in order to achieve this feat they must band together to unite their force. Clary, who loves Jace so dearly, must only rely on the hope that Jace can still be saved. But in the end it is her decision of whether to take action or not would determine Jace's fate. Will she venture into the abyss of darkness to save her love and challenge both heaven and hell?

You can check out Entertainment Weekly to watch the books video trailer that focuses on the character of Sebastian.

The book will be available for purchase on May 8, 2012.

The Casual Vacancy is J.K. Rowlings New Book for Adults

J.K. Rowling
Good news to all Harry Potter fans as J.K. Rowling has finally unveiled the title and synopsis of her latest book. The book that every adult Harry Potter fan has been waiting for is revealed to be called The Casual Vacancy. Little Brown, Rowling's preferred publisher for this book has released an official press release regarding the book.

As said earlier this year, this book will be very much focused on adult audience. J.K. Rowling added on her website, "Although I've enjoyed writing it just as much, my next novel will be very different from the Harry Potter series." Further details reveal that the upcoming book is said to have around 480 pages.

Here is the synopsis of the story:

© Wall to Wall Media Ltd. Photographer: Andrew Montgomery.
When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early forties, the little town of Pagford is left in shock.

Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war.

Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils...Pagford is not what it first seems.

And the empty seat left by Barry on the parish council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen. Who will triumph in an election fraught with passion, duplicity and unexpected revelations?

Blackly comic, thought-provoking and constantly surprising, The Casual Vacancy is J.K. Rowling’s first novel for adults.

The book is available for pre-order over Amazon. The hardback edition and audio download of the novel will be available for £20.00 each, while the ebook will cost £30.00. An ebook digital edition of the novel will be also released around the same time, but will be available for a lesser price of £11.99.

Grab a copy of the book when it will be released later this year on September 27, 2012.

Pottermore eBooks Sold More Than £1 Million in 3 Days

Pottermore
Early this year, we have been teased by our beloved author, J.K. Rowling: that is surely to get her more attention. She gave out news about a new project called Pottermore.

This new project, that fans have been buzzing about, promotes a whole new way of expriencing the famous Harry Potter series through interactive media, Pottermore ebooks and never-before-seen exclusive new writings from the author herself. This project is open only for invitation and will open to the general public sometime this month. But to prelude it's opening, Pottermore has already given us a taste by introducing the Pottermore Shop, where fans could buy the beloved series in digital form.

A good news for everyone is that the Harry Potter ebooks sold for more than 1 million pounds in just the first three days of the Shop's operation. The Guardian has given us with this statement:

"We had budgeted for a much lower figure, I had looked at the physical sales of the books, and tried to anticipate what proportion of sales would be digital, and that there was a certain amount of pent-up demand, but it surpassed anything we anticipated," said Charlie Redmayne, director to JK Rowling's new digital venture, Pottermore.

Pottermore Shop
The Pottermore Shop
Redmayne added the hype has settled down, but still continues to exceed expectations. "It is still running at a much higher rate than I was anticipating, even for the launch. It is still surpassing anything I've ever seen for e-book sales. Everything that Harry Potter does surpasses expectations. We had planned for something that we just couldn't anticipate.

The three initial novels' ebooks cost £4.99, the final four for £6.99 each and the omnibus can be purchased in digital edition for £38.64.

I hope this does not affect Amazon's business for it's certainly taking a big chunk from their Potter profit.

Hunger Games Sequel: Catching Fire Movie News

Catching Fire
Movie Adaptation
"And may the odds be ever in your favor!"

Now that the reputation of the Hunger Games trilogy has been established after scoring high in the box office, Lionsgate has green lit the production on the adaption of The Hunger Game sequel, Catching Fire. In fact, it has already been announced that sequel will premiere on November 22, 2013. But on this early stage of its production, the movie has already encountered some minor road blocks.

Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen
We have a reason to believe that the old cast for the main characters will return as The Hollywood Reporter indicated in their February 2012 issue that Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth have all signed on to the whole franchise. This is of course for continuity sake. Lionsgate will also be a fool to change the cast for Katniss Everdeen, after fans has already shared a liking to Jennifer Lawrence, who made a buzz after posing for Esquire magazine or Josh Hutcherson's Peeta Mellark or Liam Hemsworth's Gale Hawthorne as they have also made their selves indispensible. They have already built a chemistry on screen and Lionsgate wouldn't want to blow it by changing them with other actors.

It is also known that Jennifer Lawrence once played the younger Mystique in X-Men: First Class. Reportedly, it is said that a sequel has already been in the works with an unfortunate schedule conflict with Catching Fire. Lucky for Lawrence, Lionsgate and 20th Century Fox have come to an agreement and made a settlement on the actress's schedule. This really makes Jennifer Lawrence a hot shot for the fact that movie studios and companies are juggling her among them. Whew!

Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark
Unlike Hunger Games, which was penned by Gary Ross and Billy Ray together with the author of the series, Catching fire will be adapted by Slumdog Millionaire screenwriter, Simon Beaufoy, should the negotations come through. Despite the movie's nearing production in the fall of 2012 Gary Ross, the director of the first movie, and Lionsgate had not yet made a final settlement to direct the second one. And now we hear reports that Ross will definitely not return on the director's chair after having some disagreement with the paycheck.

This is a bad news of course, because personally I wanted for him to return as director. He is himself a fan of the book trilogy and we could rely on him to keep the movies faithful to the books. Now the studio has to find another director to the sequel, which could mean an alteration in the sequel's tone, style, and overall outcome. What a shame that the movie will have to follow the faith of some great movie series with varying directors that caused a lot of confusion, horrible continuity and styles varying to the extemes.

Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne
But we fans don't have to worry because this will all be solved by the time we are going to watch Catching Fire in cinemas on November 22, 2013. I really just hope there won't be any delays on the movie's release.

Check out my Hunger Games movie review.

Upcoming Novels of 2012 for Young Adults at Heart

Library
I do have a personal library that is composed of, but not limited to, hundreds of books on fantasy, classics, contemporary, poetry, plays, literature for young adult and, did I mention, high fantasy? Most of them I have read from start to end, but a few I haven't even started reading yet. And since my shelves have been overflowing lately, I have given away more or less a hundred books to some of my friends and a study center. This is to give way to some new books that I would really love to read and of course so as not to horde books and let them gather dust through time.

Lately my urge to buy some new books for my collection has returned and this year is allotted for Young Adult novels, especially the old series that I have not completed yet. These are some of the books that I am most looking forward to buy in the coming months of this year.

Artemis Fowl: The Last Guardian by Eoin Colfer

Said to be the last book in the series, Artemis Fowl: The Last Guardian follows the adventures of the witty and multi-millionaire boy genius, Artemis Fowl, and his Faeri friends. A familiar villain in the person of Opal Koboi will be back to open a portal in the human world and release havoc on all realms. Many of Artemis's loved ones will be put to danger. Opal's plot includes the release of old Faeri warrior spirits that possessed the young master's little brothers. He must find a way to undo this and he has only until sundown to do so. This book will be released on July 10, 2012.

The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict by Trenton Lee Stewart

Being the prequel to the mind-boggling trilogy The Mysterious Benedict Society, this book revolves this time around on the young Benedict who will eventually lead to the foundation of the Society. This nine-year old orphaned boy has suffered so many problems including unfortunate nose, bullies, selfish adults, strange circumstances, life-changing mystery and narcolepsy, which gives him the worst of nightmares. His life changes when he was sent to a new orphanage and lucky for him he is a genius to cope with the drastic changes. Find this book on the bookstore nearest you starting April 10, 2012.

The Maelstrom by Henry H. Neff

This is penultimate book in the five-part The Tapestry series. Follow Max and Daniels as they prevent the coming of evil. With them lies the fate of Rowan. They are the only ones who could stop Prusia's war machine or else the world will perish should they fail. This puts everyone in danger, especially Max as someone has targeted her for the kill. Will they be able to eliminate this threat in time? Find out when the book is released sometime this year.

The Serpent's Shadow

This concludes the Kane Chronicles trilogy that focuses on Egyptian mythology. Cate and Sade Kane must have to face Apophis, the chaos snake, despite having defeated him already before. This time around he has a more sinister plan: to plunge the world into total darkness. The two must utilize every help that they could get, but the magicians from the House of Life seems to have a destructive affair of their own. The Kane's last chance to save the world may be an ancient spell that turns Aphophis's shadow into a weapon, but this magic has been lost for years. Complete the trilogy on May 1, 2012.

Hopefully I would be able to buy these books as addition to my library. If not, maybe some generous friends could buy them for me.

Saoirse Ronan Plays the Lead in The Host Movie

Saoirse Ronan
plays Melanie Stryder
Updated: Added the teaser poster for the movie.

Now that The Twilight Saga is nearly coming to a close, movie goers are wary and wanted to juice some more from the books by Stephenie Meyer. There is no wonder movie studios is immediately on the go to adapt Stephenie Meyer's sci-fi adventure called The Host.

In less than a year, on March 29, 2013 more specifically, we will all gonna witness if this movie will overtake Twilight Saga's fame or not. But seeing the cast of characters, I do believe that The Host's main star, Saoirse Ronan is far better off than Twilight Saga's Kristen Stewart. You could see that clearly in the official movie pictures below.

Saoirse has been graced with a great acting talent that she has received a lot of acting nominations and awards for her previous movie gigs. Among of her many award-winning acting roles include Susie Salmon in The Lovely Bones, another book adaptation about a teenage girl who is victim of some heinous crime and how people she  loved coped with it; the younger Briony Tallis in Atonement, whose imaginative mind caused the fall and breakdown of two lovers and eventually seeking forgiveness for what she have done; and the title role in the movie Hanna, who is a kick ass assasin on her own right.

In the movie The Host, Saoirse will play Melanie Stryder, who is inhabited by an alien entity called Wanderer. The story takes place on a post-invaded Earth, where aliens called "souls" rule the earth by possessing human beings (thus the term host) and eventually infiltrating the host's mind. This gives the soul control over the host, and thus forcing them to find other human beings who had not been possessed yet. Check out The Host teaser poster below:

Or you could watch its teaser trailer here:

Notice Melanie Stryder's white rimmed pupils? This is the indication that the human has already been possessed by a "soul." Even in the book cover of the novel on which the movie was based upon the character has white rimmed pupils also. You can also check out this phenomena in the movie pictures that follow:

Yes, that's right! Diane Kruger is among the cast of the movie and she's also playing one of the possessed Earthling inhabited by an alien called the Seeker. There are also other top actors who are cast in this movie such as Max Irons, Jake Abel, William Hurt, Boyd Holbrook, Chandler Canterbury, Frances Fisher and Scott Lawrence.

Although, before you watch the movie and if you haven't read the book yet, I suggest you to grab a copy and start reading it already, so that you will not miss out any plot details.

A Must See Avatar Sequel: The Legend of Korra

The Legend of Korra
Everyone would agree that Avatar: The Last Airbender is the only Non-Japanese animated series that we could consider as "anime." Maybe because it tackles martial arts and Kung Fu that only stream from Asian way of thinking. No matter the reason behind this exception I can say that the series is a great hit among viewers that when it ended on the third book we couldn't get enough of it and wanted to have some more. So thanks to the creators of this series they are giving us a new perspective of the Avatar world through its futuristic sequel: The Legend of Korra.

In order for us to have a glimpse of its story, here is the synopsis of The Legend of Korra from Nickelodeon:

Republic City is everything that Avatar Aang and Fire Lord Zuko fought for when they ended the Hundred Year War. With balance restored to the four nations, benders and non-benders can live together in peace, in this thriving metropolitan area. But even the steampunk paradise of Republic City has its problems, as the next Avatar discovers. When Avatar Korra arrives in Republic City to master her airbending, she comes face to face with criminal bending gangs as well as members of a vocal anti-bending revolution. Before long, Korra's Avatar skills are put to the test when she encounters a group of Chi-blockers led by the charismatic and mysterious Amon, who threatens the city and all the benders in it. Despite the immense danger, Korra vows to fight the growing anti-bending revolution. But will she be able to stop Amon before he rises to power and makes his vision of a bending-free world a reality?

Watch the trailers of upcoming tv series:

But before we delve into the sequel of this amzing series I suggest you buy and read the comic novels of Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Promise (Book Four) Parts 1 and 2 so that you would not miss anything that might have happened in between the end of Avatar: The last Air Bender Book Three and the beginning of The Legend of Korra. We wouldn't want to be lost on some story lines and future references now, would we? Click on the images below if you want to buy them over Amazon.com:

The Promise Part 1
The Promise Part 2

The Promise is a trilogy comic series with the last installment still not yet released.

If you wanted to discover who are the new set characters in this series, you could visit The Legend of Korra's official page on Nickelodeon.

I am all too excited for the The Legend of Korra, but we still have to wait until April 14, 2012 before we could watch its pilot episode entitled "Air."

Wait No More for Game of Thrones Season Two

Game of Thrones
Season 2
With April 1st, 2012 fast approaching, all George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire's fans are in for a treat as the Season 2 of The Game of Thrones premiers with a blast. The second season of the highly appraised TV series will definitely pick-up where Season one ended on how the beheading of one of the main characters affects the lives of each and every character in the succession of the story.

Personally I am excited of how the Dragon sub-plot will turn out. But since this season is based on the second book called A Clash of Kings of the 7-part series, those who have read the novels will surely have a fair idea of what's going to happen and who will become the victor among those who vie for the Iron Throne in King's Landing.

Each season is based on a whole book and from what I have gleaned from the books we could expect for tricky new characters, fantastic locations, and an even grander scale of story-telling this time. But before we can actually watch the first episode of the season, here are some trinkets that might whet your appetite and ebb the excitement and anticipation that is present in all of us:

TV Spots

And More...

There is more from here.

Make sure not to miss the first episode of the season and I can definitely say that you will be hooked till the last episode and then we will have to wait for too long again for the third season to come.

Movie Review: Hungry for The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games
Updated: Check out the latest movie news on Catching Fire, The Hunger Games sequel.

And may the odds be ever in your favor! We have seen a lot of books that were turned to movies. John, being an avid reader and book collector, knows most of them and he can surely say that there are misses and hits. Lucky for this year we had a full serving of The Hunger Games and it's surely a certified hit.

Let's digest what made this movie a great one and worthy of our attention:

The Adaptation From Book

It is always hard to adapt a book into a movie, most especially if it has a legion of die hard followers who wanted to hear every line of dialogue incorporated into the movie. This is not possible, of course. But with The Hunger Games it has made ways to be faithful to the book despite a few alteration. It would have been very dragging should Katniss's monologue on the book were translated as is in the movie, but by doing how it was done exactly in the movie: it was amazing artistically and very effective at that.

A viewer would certainly be bored, even if he is an avid fan if each and every thought that the main character had will be blurted out in the screen. Instead it was done in a sport commentary kind of way that Stanley Tucci, playing the your-friend-your-enemy host Caesar, effectively conveyed. All in all, even the most avid fan would agree that the book was best adapted as we see it in the movie. I dare say there could be no better way to do it.

The Cast of Actors and Their Acting

The cast of actors, having been involved in some adaptations before, are familiar and more likely relatable. After seeing how sincere Jennifer Lawrence's acting was I can't imagine should the role have landed to other actors that were considered for the role. Josh Hutcherson's Peeta Mellark is as supposed as he should be, portraying a very strong guy that still emanates a complexity of vulnerability and weakness. Elizabeth Banks's Effie Trinket was also a bonus.

We don't get the usual cheesy combination of actors who can't barely act the way I wanted them to, but these actor being fans of the book themselves surely put there passion on every acting they did in order to give as a unique and very convincing portrayal of each characters. Except one, Woody Harrelson's Haymitch could have been better, I believe.

The Special and Physical Effects, and Production

Who would have not felt the dread of seeing District 12's dilapidated condition as opposed to the majestic living of the Capitol? There, we can already see the contrast of living between two opposing locations. One would surely sympathize on the conditions of the district people: how they suffer, how they have barely something to eat and how those devil may care Capitol people seem not to notice all these.

We see the big difference even in the color palette. The Capitol enjoys the colorful and extravagant collection of fizz and dills on their garments and make up showing how they can spend dearly on ornaments that they could live without, while the extreme districts, slurp the crumbs on the mud and have barely nothing to protect them from the harsh weather. It's as if I could almost say that this is not a movie, but a "documentary on poverty."

The movie has an effective way of rendering physical effects, but I can say that they could still improve on the special one. I mean I was expecting the girl on fire to be truly on fire. And after seeing the fiery attire the District 12 champions wore during the parade I was like, "Is that it?" On the other hand, the futuristic architecture was certainly CGI and I commend the movie for that convincing and creative feel on it,.

The Creatures and the Mythology

In the book, we see creatures and other beings that only reside on this story. They are unique and have the right of their own to express their existence. But in the movie we barely even know of their backgrounds and the mythology behind their existence. We have a very fast glimpses of mockingjays and tracker jackers and they were not really given a hundred percent justice.

And the genetically modified wolves? What happened to them? In the book they were even given the spirit and characters of the victims that died during the game. Why did they have to be showcased like some automaton and brutish creatures without showing the hatred and the feeling of revenge of the victims that should have been there.

Only a few areas of the book has not been given much emphasis and this is one of them.

The Relationship and The Love Affairs

Everyone in the cinema was crying over the fate that Rue has to go through. One annoying viewer even has the guts to wail and let the whole viewers know she is really affected. This is a manifest that the relationship between Katniss and Rue, played by Amandla Stenberg, was really at its best portrayal. And this goes back to the cast's good acting. I can clearly state that there is a chemistry between the two characters: one remembering her younger sister with the other and another needing a mature guidance showing how vulnerable she is during the entire competition.

But who would forget Katniss's and Peeta's love affair? We may have not heard Katniss say each and every thought to feel that she really is confused about the matter, but we still have the feel of it by how the two star crossed lover interacted all the time. It was awkward at the moment since Katniss is undecided by then, but when the time they have to show they are intimate they did there best, and how lovely and convincing it was on screen. And the best part of all this is the remorse that Gale Hawthorne (played by Liam Hemsworth) has to feel seeing his most loved girl being caressed by another man.

The Overall Impact of the Movie

I say, after having lost fate on books turned to movies, I have disappointed my self again on this negative expectation, because simply this one is very good. From the technicalities of movie making up to the visual area of it I can say the the movie has made a very good job. It may not have been very perfect, but who cares there is no perfect movie out there (and if there is it's not many, I guess). What matters most is for the two hours and 20 minutes that I spent watching the movie is a an equivalent amount of time that I feel I have been transported to a world which is very different from what we have now. It was a convincing movie that I  felt I was almost trapped into that distant dystopia.

I praise the director and the cast and all the people behind this movie, because they have given us something good, something worthwhile. All these were achieved, because of their passion and dedication in satisfying this not-so-die-hard fan among many others.

Rating: 4.5 / 5, Still have more room for improvement.

Garbage In, Garbage Out

Garbage!
One doesn't have to know the meaning of the computing phrase "Garbage In, Garbage Out" in order to understand that whatever you feed yourself is what most probably will come out of you.

I am usually unaffected by these bullshits, but my friend once again kept on berating me on these matters. He is telling me that in order not to release an evil aura I should "See no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil." What-the-hell-that-ever means? He said: Whatever the external stimuli are given you will definitely return back to the external environment.

Here are some pictures over the internet, which I don't claim ownership by the way, that put a twist to the phrase:

They are kind of bizarre and artistic at the same time like this book from Clive Barker entitled Abarat: Absolute Midnight, which is the third book from the series. John has almost lost interest of this series since the last book prior to this got out almost 6 years ago. That was a lot of years of waiting and I pity my friend for the long depression he has to go through just to take his hand on this one. Where did he ever get that patience that he can manifest on books but never on people and other lousy situations?

It was such a nice thing though that no matter how long you've waited, the troubles and the misfortunes that one has to go through seems like a far-away issue whenever it finally arrived. Lucky me I don't expect any bonuses because I am not working: I am imaginary after all, and I don't need money in order to survive. But if I ever get a bonus, I would definitely buy John the mass market edition of this book to alleviate his down feeling.

All-Things Imaginary Friends

Imaginary Friend
Let's face it. Who would believe the "Best Friends Forever" still work. This is the modern world and what applies before could not be said true today. So enough BFF talk and let's focus on something psychological, something more fun: Imaginary Friends.

For whatever reasons, people who are not satisfied with the real world create their own. Here, they can control everything, from whoever are living to it and how places look like, to whatever weather the world experiences and blah, blah, blah, blah. It's not surprising then that they choose also their imaginary friends. Imaginary friends are not that really bad after all. In fact, it has infiltrated the world under many marketing arena and here as just some of them:

Foster's Foster Home For Imaginary Friends
Imaginary Friends Tee Shirt
Imaginary Friends Books

There are a lot more... Good for the marketers of these items since they are helping people with Imaginary Friends survive the world by conforming to their fantasies instead of just letting them listen to Johann Sebastian Bach's Air.

This is Kernel, by the way. The blog owner's Imaginary Friend.
